ill peach Share New Official Video For “HUSH”

On November 3rd, Los Angeles duo ill peach will release their debut full-length, THIS IS NOT AN EXIT, via Hardly Art. To celebrate the group's impending release, ill peach has shared a new video for their track “HUSH.”

ill peach says of this new song/video: “We wrote HUSH the week the war between Russia and Ukraine started.  We felt this urge to write through the lens of devastation and loss but, at the same time, reflect a message of rebellion, resilience, and resistance. The verses are soft and fragile but lyrically feel dismal (utter destruction, children’s lives lost, families ripped apart, the surprise element of attack). But then the hook lifts you into an emotional rage against all the wrongdoing (the pride of where one comes from and who you identify yourself as or have been taught to be can push you to extremes, shift you into another person completely to survive or revive what was stolen). Sadly, this song still feels so resonant because of what's going on in Gaza. We call it our monster under the bed, the reckoning of the ugliness and the beauty of human nature.”

You can watch the official video for “HUSH,” featuring animatronic rat versions of the band leading a rat revolution in the sewers, HERE. The video was directed by Lucy Sandler.

The release of “HUSH” follows the previously released singles “HEAVYWEIGHT,” “HEAD FULL OF HOLES,” “BLAH BLAH BLAH,” “BLOOM,” and “COLLIDING.”

What people have said about ill peach:
"There truly is nothing in modern music that feels or sounds like ill peach, and their modern and dynamic appeal sticks out impressively in what is already an incredibly diverse and creative music scene." ["BLAH BLAH BLAH"] - CLOUT

"This new song marks a remarkable twist on ill peach's signature sound, moving into more upbeat, electric, and rooted in alternative rock terrain...There's nothing in modern music that looks or sounds like ill peach, making them a truly unique and dynamic act." ["BLAH BLAH BLAH"] - Oleada Indie

“Vocalist Jess Corazza’s delicate high end reflects their affinity for atmospheric dream pop melodies, but the undercurrent of chaos beneath it adds a layer of tension that feels cinematic. The resulting jam is a terrific slice of alt-pop with a melody that will creep into your head over and over.” [“DANDELION”] - Consequence

“...songs that draw on stately R&B, effervescent pop, and absorbing yet lo-fi production.” [“Excuse Me While We Find Our Minds”] - CLASH

“…together the artists shape-shift their love for idiosyncratic pop music through tranquil new single “DANDELION.” Transferring their complicated tale of love through an electro-funk charged sound and nostalgic sphere.” - The Line of Best Fit

a cacophony of experimental sounds met with ethereal vocals and lyrics [“Wildfire”] - Wonderland

“ill peach shattering the glossy facade of American quaintness with pummelling synths and hypnotic, Suicide-style drum machine. A rethinking of a classically patriotic symbol, it’s also a perfectly bombastic opening to sound the alarm (“American Pie”/sound the alarm] .” - The FADER
