Today, Los Angeles’ Girl Friday released a new track "You're Getting a Dog,” the second song from their forthcoming double A-side single release, available at all DSPs.
Girl Friday’s Vera Ellen and Libby Hsieh shared their unique experience collaborating on the release: “Ah, the bittersweet feeling of knowing someone you used to love is doing well, while you're floating up shits creek without a paddle. The song is the soundtrack to that emotion. I think also, since we wrote it during quarantine, it has an undertone of nostalgia for parties and dancing and being physically close to someone. We hope you listen and find the gosh darn paddle.”
